18A – Create a Customer Avatar
My customers include restaurant owners of any age range. There is such a big range when it comes to who can own a restaurant but I'm more focused on owners of popular local restaurants in their area that focus on dining in experiences. For my avatar, I decide to click the random generator option because my customer could be just about anyone. The only feature I was looking for was a bright smile. A restaurant owner should be enthusiastic about their restaurant and the food they serve. However, here is some insight into my customer avatar for this assignment.
What kind of hobbies does your customer have?
I would say that cooking started out as a hobby for them and then they turned that hobby into a business.
What kind of car do they tend to drive? (What color is it?)
Well, it depends on many factors but if they have a popular restaurant, I would assume that they are making some revenue. So, they could be driving a new white Toyota Highlander because they need a dependable car to right errands for the restaurant.
What TV shows do they watch?
Anything on the Food network.
Do they have children?
Yes, they probably have kids that help out as servers at the restaurant.
Are any of them adopted?
Yes, some of their kids could be adopted.
How old are they? How old do they feel?
This particular customer is in their mid to late 40's.
Something I have in common with my customer is how their family is highly involved in the restaurant. My first serving job was a family friends restaurant that was popular in my hometown. It is not a coincidence since this idea was developed from my own experiences of working in the food industry.
Hey Isabella! I enjoyed reading your blog post for this assignment. First off, your customer avatar is adorable! You were very detailed in your description of your avatar, which allowed me to imagine her appearance and personality. I had a similar experience when I created my avatar because I also related to my avatar. I think you made an excellent point when you said that the idea behind your avatar was based on your personal experiences. When I think about my experience creating my avatar, I agree with you. Thank you for sharing this insight and for another great post!
ReplyDeleteIsabella,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you got a different skin tone for the avatar. A cook is definitely a good profession for someone who likes to do it as a hobby. From my experience, good cooks or restaurant owners are usually encouraged by family or friends to start a business. Good food is good food whether you eat it in a fine establishment or at home. I think food tastes better when it is cooked with love anyway.
Hey Isabella,
ReplyDeleteI really liked reading your blog post for the customer avatar. The customer avatar looked great and you gave an excellent amount of detail for every part of the "customer" characteristics. I can definitely see a cook watching the food network and being in their 40's. I feel like most cooks start off their careers as a hobby and then build towards a full-time profession. Lastly, I love how you connected your family connection of cooking with your customer avatar. Overall, great blog post!!
Hey Isabella,
ReplyDeleteI really like how you randomly generated your avatar! It makes sense on why you chose to do that because you're right, a restaurant owner could be anyone with a smile. I really admired that part. Your avatars hobbies and favorite TV shows really aligned with your avatar as well. I could really imagine this being a real person with your specific details. Great job!!
Hey Isabella!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your blog and your avatar was very cute as well. I can agree with you when you say that being a cook is an outstanding and very suitable profession for anybody that truly enjoys doing it as a hobby. I really like the part where you mention the car, i feel as if every restarant owner ive seen drives a rather big and bulky car.
