R: I don't think it's that rare to learn about the foodservice industry.

After conducting the VRIN analysis, I believe my top resource is the lack of competition in my segment. There is not much variety when it comes to accessories for dishwashers. Being able to provide an affordable alternative to small business owners who don't have the budget to invest in a commercial dishwasher will set up my venture for success. My venture is related to a side of the industry that hasn't really been explored. However, its a product that is practical and is easy to understand. Hence, why I think this lack of competition is the most valuable resource.

  2. Hello Isabella,

I really enjoyed reading about your venture's unfair advantage, especially about the lack of competition within your particular industry. I definitely agree with you that your venture's greatest unfair advantage is the lack of competition in your industry. Your product is truly simple which allows for a wide range of adoption, from the large scale food restaurant to the local mom and pop dinner. Additionally, there is not many competitors who have developed such a product. Overall, great post!
